elanamatic: Lord Of The Renaissance
Oh Lordy. Viggo is at it again.
Viggo Mortensen, best known as Aragorn from The Lord of the Rings trilogy, has recruited three of his co-stars to perform on his upcoming album, Pandemoniumfromamerica.
Mortensen's fifth CD release will be an album of experimental, spoken-word and instrumental tunes that should hit the streets two weeks prior to the release of the final Lord of the Rings installment. Co-stars Elijah Wood, Dominic Monaghan and Billy Boyd, who all played Hobbits in the film series, will provide vocals, bass and percussion on a few tracks. Mortensen's teenage son Henry, along with long-time collaborator, current Guns N' Roses guitarist and all around weirdo, Buckethead, will also be featured.
Mortensen seems to have no desire to be commercially successful, so don't look for a tour or videos on MuchMusic anytime soon. Besides, he's a pretty busy guy. Along with being an actor and musician, he's also a painter and a photographer.
In other news, I have the worst case of the angry winds. I have become a foul and unpleasant being. I need a solution! I considered the Bounty sheet plan as previously discussed by Cootie Girl. I am opting for lots of mint and ginger tea instead and very basic foods. Ok. I am a gross farty girl and I must go.
