elanamatic: House Hunting
We got word recently that we will have to vacate our appartment sooner then later. We have been house hunting for awhile but the market is slow and while interest rates are low housing prices are incredibly high and due to the low volume, bidding wars are commonplace.
Today we went to see about eight different houses. I love poking about and seeing how other people live. It is also fun to stretch your imagination in thinking of a prospective home's potential. One place we saw today had about eight or nine different asian students living in it. They kept crawling out of every room in grandpa pajamas with tired sleepy gazes.
It's tough to not get caught up in the drama of buying a house. Everyone has different advice:
"Don't fall in love until it's yours."
"It's better to buy the best house on the worst street then ..."
"Location, location, location."
No matter what you're taking a risk and you have to make compromises. Regardless, there is one that's caught our eye and we are jittery with the possibilities.
