elanamatic: Why Write?
freakgirlspew wrote about this the other day and it got me going:
Why write?
- Because it helps makes the mundane seem interesting
- Cos my ego lives inside my keyboard
- Like exercise and eating well, it's a good habit
- I need to flex my creative muscles regularly or they tense up and attack my insides
- So that you have something to read
- It's free self-entertainment
- To survive
- So that all the thoughts don't fester inside my head and rot my brain
- It allows me to succumb to the illusions of self-importance
- Practice, practice, practice. How else am I going to become a world famous writer?
- So I can call myself a writer
- Why not?
- To prevent the eventual decomposition of my faculties as I become less and less sane with each passing day.
- Cos sometimes my life online is way more exciting then offline. Like today, writing website policy copy = total tedium
- It's fun!
