elanamatic: Pros vs. Cons
In two more days we will be moved into our new place.
Things I will miss:
- Built-in roomates with a seperate apartment. (I & J - it's been great!)
Being a mere block away from -
- Tacos El Asador
- Little Egg Tofu Soon Yummyness
- cheap korean eats
- Fiesta Farms
- Blahblaws
- Christie Pits
- The Metro Theatre. Ahh smutty cinema. (They *do* sell car batteries)
- the main floor bathroom. it's really the nicest room in the appartment.
- actually the basement bathroom rocks too! that shower is awesome.
- our funtimes telephone number. sigh. damn Bell to hell!
Things I am happy to leave behind:
- the mousies
- the big creepy crawlers that inhabit the basement seasonally
- the freezing freezing cold kitchen, basement and office space
- hearing the mousies on parade or competing for the vermin olympics overhead while we try to sleep
- subterranean sleeping arrangements
- finding a dead mouse in the dude's slipper. well, he found it. he was jamming his foot in and it just wouldn't fit.
- the damp sheets of summertime basement bedrooms
- the hum of either the space heater, the dehumidifier or the humidifier in our vain attempt at lower-level climate control.
- mini laundry. one sheet equals one load.
Things I am looking forward to:
- being a hop skip and a jump from College St. and Kensington Market
- throwing mega parties
- sleeping above ground
- making a new space my own
- having a designated office area
- having a spare bedroom with an actual door so that sleepovers friends/relatives have a defined space and we have some privacy
- the brand spanking new dishwasher
- giant laundry!
- being closer to noah's natural foods and the jcc!
- living within walking distance to everything!
