elanamatic: Makeout Summit 2005
So this weekend we went to Washington D.C. with the dude's parents and his sister and her husband. It was a family weekend to celebrate his mom's recent special birthday. She had always wanted to see the springtime Japanese cherry blossoms.
Sadly, due to the crapulent weather, there were few cherry blossoms to be seen and sniffed. The first day was sunny and warm but having woken up at 4:00 a.m. and slept only five hours, I was less than participatory. The rest of our visit it either pissed rain or was freezing cold.
Despite the trauma that can errupt when travelling with six people, especially family, we had a nice time. It was great to escape Toronto life and all the responsibilty that comes with it. The dude and I spent a lot of time flirting and indulging in excessive PDA. I wish I could say this only happens when we are feeling anonymous, but the truth is the dude is not the most restrained individual. When we were at the new Native American Indian museum (gorgeous!) a security guard told us to get a room! That was a definite highlight.
I could go on about all that we saw and did but having had to endure Uncle Doug's night-time trolley tour, I think I'll spare you the details.
Blaine - had I known you were around, we could have grabbed a drink!
