elanamatic: Sorry officer!
It was the rock n' roll!
While it's true I've been called leadfoot and speed demon, the real thrust behind my engine was not an intense urge to return to Toronto, or the dullness of the T-Can as my dad calls it, but the tunes. Nothing better than speeding along to great music. I love my No Name iTrip.
We made it back from Montreal in five hours flat including two coffee breaks and one costume change.
Soundtrack highlights included: Radiohead, Pixies, Pavement, Ugly Duckling, Beck, People Under The Stairs, Tribe, New Pornographers, Postal Service, Franz Ferdinand, Beta Band, Arcade Fire, Gorillaz, Beatles, EZ Rollers, Chemical Brothers, Sharon Jones & The Dap-Kings and of course some Stripes.
It takes approximately 72 songs to get from our home in Toronto to my parent's place in Montreal, including skipping slow songs that don't interest me while driving.
