sunshine jen: Yeats's Grave
Yesterday, my significant other read his backlog of Sunshine Jens, and he finally got to read the one about the ending for No Country For Old Men. Even though he liked the piece, he had one small correction to make.
Jen, when I was talking about Yeats, I was talking about his gravestone. Don’t you ever listen to me? You never listen to me.
Okay, my significant other did not say those last two sentences, and I added them for dramatic effect. I do listen to him. . .most of the time.
Anyway, here are the words on William Butler Yeats’s gravestone. If you’ve seen the ending of No Country for Old Men, you’ll see why the significant other was all excited:
Cast a cold eye
on life, on death.
Horseman, pass by!
