Art Colony: When I was 21

This is from Katie. Victoria's list would be quite short, I think.
When I was 21 I didn't have any wrinkles.
I colored my hair for the first time with my mom and my best friend Gwen. It looked fabulous. We did it in my apartment. They watched it turn blond and made me rinse the bleach out because it changed so quickly.
I purchased a Cannondale mountain bike with my first credit card and my tax refund and it was so smooth I felt like I was flying down Dayton avenue. I smiled like an idiot.
I broke up with my on-again-off-again boyfriend of six years to take a chance on a tall skinny bowie-ish guy (sans red hair) in my English class who said "whatever" a lot. I eventually married him.
I didn't have any money when I was 21 and lived off of lucky charms cereal and kraft dinner as mac n' cheese was the only food my psycho roommate didn't eat. I used 2% milk.
I worked in a hotel two days a week and earned enough scratch to pay some bills and buy $20 worth of groceries per week. I balanced the grocery bags on my bike handlebars.
I loved my blue camo mini skirt. I looked fine and dressed like a rockstar.
I watched my roommate bring home all sorts of guys that I went to highschool with. I watched one of them I'd known since kindergarten clean up her vomit which was red from whatever she was drinking. He was cleaning it off my white furniture. White furniture in college=dumb.
I didn't watch T.V.
I was addicted to the internet.
I changed my major to English because I was previously a speech path major. I changed the day they passed a human tongue in a zip-lock baggie around the room. I mean, what do you do with that?
Sometimes I would make tons of pancakes with the "just add water" mix and eat them for breakfast, lunch, and dinner for a week straight. Viva la microwave!
I moved from wearing doc martins only to wearing heels quite a bit.
I listened mostly to Jane's Addiction/Porno for Pyros.
I was happy. I still am.
