Cootie Girl: 13 is my lucky number
10.29.2004
1. I love love love this holiday - not because I'm a goth freak or anything but it makes me laugh to see kids dressed up begging for candy and then get egged while having their candy stolen from them.
2. Lon Chaney Jr. was the only actor to play Dracula, The Wolfman, Frankenstein (excuse me Frankenstein's monster) and The Mummy in a feature film.
3. Growing up my 3 sisters and I would make it so spooky in our basement (my parents are the supers of the building so our apartment is in the basement of the building) - it would be dark and we would jump out of side doors with masks on, the neighborhood kids would be too scared to trick or treat at our house ... more candy for us WOO HOO!
4. My mom use to make those individual bags full of different candy's and also put money in them (pennies for people she didn't know and dollars for the kids she did)
5. I am listening to my Halloween Hootenanny cd while writing this post.
6. According to my friend Tricia candy corns give you flagellants. (but I think it's just her)
7. In the past 10 years I have dressed up as Edina from AB Fab, Chucky (complete with really big knife), Dead Mime, Evil Kelly from an alternate universe, rave girl, neck wound, cry baby and one of the girls in the show V.I.P. (not Pamela Anderson that was Natasha).
8. I have been to the Halloween Parade here in NYC and just love all the drag queens dressed like Barbara Bush.
9. I am hoping the scariest movie will be "Mark of the Devil". I just got my DVD of it from Amazon. I'm gonna watch it this weekend. According the back of the DVD this film was rated "V" for violence and they say "This is the one that historian and gorehounds alike still speak of with shock and awe, the movie so extreme that audiences were given free barf bags!" have you seen it?
10. I totally love the little ghost, skulls and pumpkins in the background of these robot pages - rich can I have them always?
11. In the movie The Night of the Living Dead, the extras that made up the zombies were paid $1 and got a shirt that said "I was a zombie on Night of the Living Dead" - I totally want one of those T-Shirts.
12. Twelve is the number right before thirteen.
13. Triskaidekaphobia is the fear of the number 13, Paraskavedekatriaphobia is a fear of Friday the 13th and Taphephobia is a fear of being buried alive.
