elanamatic: Party Pooper.
That's me. It's that time of year again. At my new job they are into the Halloween thing so everyone is being coerced into dressing up and making fools of themselves. We are a creative bunch and I know it will be fun but wandering around talking to people, most "claim" to be not into it. I am with them all the way.
What I want to know is, who are the people who *are* into it?
My ideal costume:
- does not require any face makeup (too many traumatizing experiences trying to remove it - jenn/raine remember my "superhero" costume?)
- allows for travel by bike or at least public transit
- doesn't make me feel fugly.
- can be put together easily from items I already own or can aquire cheaply.
I have some fun ideas but they are tough to execute (being a redhead doesn't help!) but maybe they will work for someone else:
- Agent Sidney Bristow (maybe in some other lifetime where i am a hot brunette)
- "The Ugly One" from Teen Girl Squad (love them!)
- Edina from Ab Fab (I can do this one easily but will anyone at work recognize me? I don't think it's their kinda TV programming)
- Spongebob Squarepants
- Delirium from The Sandman (easy to execute but truthfully I have not read enough Neil Gaiman to pull it off..)
- Tori Amos (?)
I am so lame and lazy when it comes to playing dressup. Luckily, my good friend j took pity on me and helped me out last night... Details to be revealed soon..
