elanamatic: Big mouth
I might have the best of intentions but I blurt things out all wrong all too often. It must be a chronic case of foot in mouth disease. Even nice things sometimes come out wrong.
I know everyone struggles with this occasionally but add in a heaping dose of neuroses and I end up re-living these awkward moments over and over on the projector in my head. It's pretty brutal.
This is probably why I like writing so much. Also, e-mail, IM, txt messaging, all allow for handy delete keys. I can overthink and edit until satisfied.
In real life, there is no retract keys. Just earlier I said some comment meant to be innocent, perhaps a sense of foolish pride, and I am pretty sure it was completely misinterpreted as a selfish hint. Sigh.
Human error, the perfectionist in me will never get over it.
