elanamatic: now with more skype Sooo international Internet geeks of ill repute have been encouraging me to get with Skype for awhile now.. I have avoided the whole thing thinking there was work involved. Who knew it could be so easy!?
The dude sent up a skype phone recently to chat with his sister and her hubby and our baby nephew Benny out in Cali. The first time I watched him have a conversation with them I was totally freaked out. I am just slow to get comfortable with the idea of being able to talk to people long distance and watch them at the same time. Seeing cute little Benny made it a little easier but I have refrained from setting up a webcam on my PC for the moment.
Last night, I came around. I was chatting with my Aussie friend for life, Joey, on Google Talk when she sent a request to phone! I accepted and could hear her through my speakers. It was sooo exciting, I started getting all hyper and the dude came by and set me up with the little Skype phone he bought. It took a few clicks and the software was installed and Joey and I were chatting live and for FREE. I am so sold on Skype.
