with all the new posts, it's like grand central station around here!!! i use to hear that term when i was growing up and never having been to nyc but knowing that gcs was where all the trains came in, i knew it must've been a busy place. but then i went to gcs and saw just how busy it was - well, it was at that point that i really, GOT IT, my dears. and the rest is history.
do you know what an H2 is? it's the hum-vee re-calibrated for civilian use, see? it's this big, honking, "gang-way-i'm-coming-through" kinda of SUV. i'm sure you've seen the grotesque ads in magazines and teevee. they start at about $58k and of course, they're all over raleigh and cary. i've decided that i'm pissed at you if you drive one. i've decided that if i see you driving one i will give you and your H2 the finger. i've been flipping the bird quite a lot lately. i was with my mom the other day and i flipped some H2s the bird. she then started pointing out other, just as big SUVs, that i might want to start giving the finger to. my mommers is very helpful that way.
one of my childhood friends is preggers with TWINS. i am freaking out enough for both of us and i am sure she wants to stop talking to me. i send her emails and write stuff like "today you have no kids. in two months you'll have TWO KIDS." i went shopping with her registry at "babies r us" (the "r" is supposed to be backwards like a little kid wrote it...the computer has not been configured to do that yet...at least, i don't know how to do it). babies r us is just about the scariest place you'll ever walk into - and i really love babies and kids. i can't believe the stuff you supposedly "need" to have a kid. when my parents had me and my brothers, they had a blanket and a stroller from k-mart. i swear, that's all they had. now you can get H2 strollers and video monitors and THONGS FOR LITTLE GIRLS. i've already made up a rule for my kids: you can wear whatever underwear you want - WHEN YOU CAN AFFORD TO PURCHASE YOUR OWN UNDIES. and on the 50 cents allowance i plan on giving them it will be a loooooong time before they will be able to buy anything. anyway, babies r us - it's an excellent form of birth control.
