i spent 10 min. this morning tearing a mini-cooper ad out of a recent new yorker magazine. in it were two paper doll-like models of mini-coops and you assembled them and were instructed to have races with them on your desk. the ads for the mini-coops have been terribly clever. if you're interested in getting your own desktop minis check out the june 16&23rd (it's a double issue) new yorker. i think it should still be on newsstands. also, it's the debut fiction issue with some wonderful new short stories as well as an excellent non-fiction essay from david sedaris.
meanwhile, back at the bat cave, we are sweltering in south. it's 94 degrees with the heat index today. wish i had put on six extra swipes of deodorant.
finally, i seem to attract all the wackos wherever i go. especially the places i work. when relating a bonkers story of the day to my husband i often end it by shouting what i really want to say at work, which is: I KNOW I AMUSE ALL OF YOU AND YOU ARE UNABLE TO ENTERTAIN YOURSELVES BUT AT SOME POINT YOU WILL HAVE TO GO BACK TO YOUR DESK AND BE CRAZY WITHOUT ME.
happy weekend!
