it's not really deja vu. it's more of a coincidence, i guess. but i'll read something and then for the next week, that particular topic pops up all the time. or i'll read something BY someone and then that person pops up all over the place. for example, i just finished a book by amy sutherland and then i opened an issue of cooking light to read an article and it happened to be by amy sutherland. another example is that a couple weeks ago at a coffee shop jason-dog-years pointed out that the cd playing at the shop was modest mouse. this past weekend i saw a new modest mouse video no less than three times. anyone? anyone? strange? weird? anyone? a couple years ago, i became obsessed with the word milquetoast and then i kept seeing it EVERYWHERE. i know i have other examples, i just can't remember them. i realize that it's human nature to look for coincidences and that nothing is random and blah blah blah, but it gets a little freaky sometimes.

when i was in nashville, julie and i got french pedis. (in case the boys don't know, a french pedi is when you get a stripe on the tip of the nail so your nail looks freakishly WHITE. a "pedi" is a pedicure. gawd, get with it already.) my pedi is quickly fading. just this morning i had to touch up some chipped polish with white-out since i don't own white nail polish. it looks very good if i say so myself.
