now that craig and i are living with my parents out in the country i have to adjust to country life. today i had to slow down on my way to work while a chicken crossed the road. there didn't seem to be any big to-do on the other side so i cannot at this time answer the question of "why, chicken, why?".
once i visited rich and rachel on a farm and was introduced to a lovely chicken named "bawk-bawk". i now consider all chickens to be named "bawk bawk". there just doesn't seem to be a better alternative out there.
my friend sue has a sister who's nickname is "chick".
i call my mom "chicken" because once we were in this restaurant and there was this old lady at the table next to us and she kept talking about her chicken dish over and over. but it's not just saying chicken in a regular voice. you have to say it in this witchy old lady voice. next time i see you, i'll do the voice for you. you have to get real close and sort of whisper it. it's funny. really. it is.
chicken.
