At my sister-in-law’s baby shower in August, we played a fun game (if you’re not a regular at baby showers you might not know that we often have to play games – guess the date the baby will be born, guess its weight, etc.). With this game, each person got a handful of alphabet beads and you had to make a name out of the beads you received, then we went around the room and announced our name creation. The name I came up with could be for a boy or a girl and I was wicked excited about it: Bowmexy, Jr. Have you ever heard such a fine name in your life? Bo-bo could be the nickname for a boy and Mexy for a girl. So sweet. I begged my brother and his wife to consider this awesome and unique name for their son who was born on September 21st but they weren’t having it. Bummer.
At any rate, I’m happy to announce the arrival of my new nephew, Levin James, weighing in at 6lbs, 8ozs, one whole week before his due date. Yay nephew! His unique name isn’t quite the stunner that Bowmexy, Jr. is, but lovely just the same.
I suppose there’s always a chance for Bowmexy, Jr. to be used on their next kid – here’s hoping!
But seriously folks, look at this face!
