Nutshell Kingdom: what law school is really like
2003
Last night a group of 10 or so of us up and coming lawyers met, a little tipsy, at the law school itself around 10:30 for a round or two of miniature golf. Cleverly ignoring the solitary and helpless security guard, we putt-putted from the 4th floor to the 1st. Meanwhile, we set up headquarters in the main reading room of the library and setup our giant hip-hop boombox, two cases of Coors Light tallboys (I know, yuck), and smoked cigarrettes. When golf became boring, we had swivel chair races and a couple of people actually fenced one another. Why were there foils available? Shit, I don't know. All in all, I think that I am a better, more complete person because of the experience. Well-roundedness is highly sought in the legal profession. Or so I'm told.
