Bored and lazy, last night I watched the Sunday Night Sex Talk on basic cable. This show comes on the Oxygen network and is a call-in show about sexuality, hosted by this little old lady who I am almost certain is Canadian. Anyways, last night I heard her tell a woman (as well as a whole ton of viewers)(this woman already thought she needed to orgasm to get pregnant) that you could not get pregnant during your period. What??!!?? Jesus God! Do you have any idea how many bored and horny teenagers are home on Sunday night and watching anytyhing they can find that mentions sex: and now they have it on good authority that they cannot get knocked up/knock up during menstruation? It boggles my mind. If I were a lawyer, I'd be looking for someone to file a lawsuit.
Afterwards, the network played this show called Bliss, also Canadian. It was the most sexually explicit thing I'd ever seen on basic cable. The plot was, of course, older well-dressed femme becomes intrigued by brash, bandana-wearing tom. But the sex scene involved a very obvious, though remarkably unseen strap-on. I had no problems with this, except for the tired gender-bending plot twist.
