Nutshell Kingdom: Christmas Sentiment
2003
Being somewhere with people while the people that I'm lonesome for are off being somewhere with other people always makes me a little adult-contemporary in the sentiment department and a little weak in the metaphor department. Suffice to say, if you're reading this and you know me -- I am probably actively missing you right now. Robots, have a fine holiday.
PS-- I'm going to Texas for New Years's! They fire guns into the air at midnight. Except for the scenesters in Austin. They circle about and bob their heads to the sound of the guns, whispering how gunfire used to be cool, before Sam Peckinpah co-opted it. Anyway, Texas wins the New Year lottery. Don't forget to enter your town in next year's drawing. You never know which lucky person could blanket me on their couch.
