I have very creative friends.
First of all, Helen, who had a similarly baffling breakup with someone she thought she was meant to be with, created a CD called Sock Monkey Plans for her uber-geek boyfriend. She even wrote the song list in XML: "I don't think I did a bad job, especially considering the fact I was probably clinically insane at the time. In case you don't know about such things, that's not fucked up HTML on the back, it's XML. I guess in my rather addled state, I figured this was the way to a man's heart. I've been reading Cosmo lately, and it turns out I aimed a little high."
Joey has nightmarish ticket problems at the airport and then misses his flight to the O'Reilly Conference because of suspicious custom officers. When asked if he can play the accordion in his luggage, he hauls it up and plays Star Spangled Banner. Nice mental kung-fu!
If I were him, I would still worry. When you get back, they will never let you through customs, Joe. What true Canadian would abandon his team on the eve of Game 7 of the Stanley Cup Playoffs?
