So I produced my first radio story yesterday on "Wenches With Wrenches". I did it after working an 18-hour day until 1a.m. Monday, with the Town Hall on violence in Black communities, then coming in at 7am. It was a bit of baptism by fire, but I surived! And it made it on the air. Thanks to Reba at Urbane Cyclist and Maogosha at Community Bicycle Network for making it all work out. Yay!
Thanks for the campy pic of me at the Tikki office party, Joey. Thing is, when I was a kid, my sister and I used to try and pose like covergirls of the '50's with one hand on jutting hip, the other behind the head, as though you are trying to make sure your head doesn't fall off, or something. Everyone thought it was cute when I was 8. But then at 13 they just laughed nervously. I have never been very good at letting jokes die.
