I saw The Devil's Backbone last night with Dale and Paul. Gorgeous, genuinely scary ghost story set at the end of in the Spanish Civil war.

An orphanage. A diffused bomb in the middle of a courtyard. A wooden leg, gold bullion, a ghost named santi, and fetuses preserved in rum.

I grew so frightened, I drew my feet up onto my seat. I always try to protect my ankles and wrists when I am spooked.

When I was a kid, I had to sleep with a sheet covering my neck and my wrists facing down. Otherwise, I felt I was tempting vampires.
