A bunch of us got together last night to play our version of ultimate frisbee in the park. Super non-competitive, goofy goodness with lots of breaks and jokes. Matt with his T'ai Chi Chuan muscles is a speedy bullet who jumps higher than anyone I know.
I tried my best to keep my "know-nothing mind", because my biggest problem with athletic activity is that I just think too hard about it and lose my body smarts. Do you know what I'm talking about? Have I told you that I make more baskets when I turn my back to the net?
So my winter headiness is hard to shake off, but it was our first game and I ran around and fumbled and dropped frisbees, but by the end I was starting to get it. And then my hip started to kak out.
Problem is, my aging thirty-something body is not cooperating. I got home, and my hip was shooting pain in a nerve-not-muscle way all down my thingh. This didn't used to happen. I am getting old and creaky with back and joint pains. I am gonna have to step-up the yoga, I think.
