Do you think it is weird that I still hold hands with my mom?
I still can't shake that Pat Robertson comment on how lefty Venezuelan presidnet Hugo Chavez should be assasinated because he is leaving his country vulnerable to communists. Isn't that the archaic equivalent of blaming KISS for satanism among american youth?
Last night, I looked up at the top left corner of the happyrobot homepage, and someone wrote: "this country is like a faith-based bukkake video. "
Last night, biking home from Matt and Emily's newish place, we came across a bunch of young men playing bocce ball and smoking some fragrant cigarettes. It was a lovely scene, late at night in a lush park with a bunch of friends hanging out, being pretty quiet and tossing heavy balls across the sand under the lights.
Remember how we all used to use friendster and orkut and tribe.net and those online communities? Does anyone go on those anymore? When are they going to be dismantled and sold as demographic profiles to ad agencies? Am I even in a favourable demographic anymore?
The only community that has staying power and is useful is Flickr. Store your photos, share your images with friend, strangers. Create albums with others.
The more time passes, the more I become enamoured of the photo community. I want to give them props. I am doing this website related to the Toronto International Film Festival and I want the site to have a link to a flickr tag. I think I will link to http://www.flickr.com/photos/tags/torontofilmfestival/
If you are storing your images on flickr, and you have any TIFF pics, would you mind adding /toronto film festival as your tag?
