Pony: Awesome things I did on Mother's Day

Slept in until 10am (thanks, mom/grandma!)

Took G. to get a fancy haircut at Toni and Guy at my mom's insistence (he got their collection haircut. don't ask.)

Saw Josh's photo exhibit for CONTACT photo festival

Went to Toronto Comic Arts Festival and saw so much wicked art and met so many great independent comic book artists, like Miriam Libicki, who I had a chance to chat with:
"My sister in Tel Aviv got me Jobnik! last year, and I loved it"
"Who is your sister?"
"Lisa"
"I was hoping you would come! I featured Lisa in one of my latest comics!"

That was very cool. I also got a chance to get some art for Gabriel's room, because I love the idea of surrounding G with cool posters and prints. I could have spent all my money there, but I decided to focus on getting a few key prints:

We got him Matthew Forsythe's vibrant Songbirds print.

John Martz (aka robotjohnny who also runs drawn.ca)  has so much awesome stuff. I picked up a print of Unfortunate Creatures.John remarked that a lot of people were buying those prints for their kids' rooms, and he thought it was pretty funny, given their "unfortunate" qualities.

Then we went for Indian food with my mom and Kiff and Gabriel and home for an early sleep. Lovely!
