Robot Note
For the past week or so, this Israel vs. Hezbollah war thing, while sad and tragic and stupid (all at once) has also annoyed the hell out of me mainly due to the media coverage.
It's tragic when innocent people get killed, but when both sides are lobbing missiles into populated areas - shit gets blown up.
People die.
Every day it seems that the news has stories about 'x' number of troops killed plus the additional painfully sad civilian (usually children) and then they cut to someone in the town who is screaming about the other side and what kind of people must they be if they kill children. Or babies. Or _____ .

As if our modern era has the corner on the market in killing civilians during armed conflicts.
So, it's more of a media thing I suppose. It also annoys me to no end.
(granted, I have done my (insignificant) part in this as well)

Dear People of the World,
During a war, whether it's a sandy desert type war or a humid jungle-y war, to eliminate any undue stress and hysterics on your part, please keep in mind that the following things can die during wartime.

Mentally handicapped people

Sisters
Sons
Daughters
Couples about to get married
Newlyweds
White Americans
Corrupt politicians
Olive trees

Signed,
People of the World who aren't being blown up.
At least today.
