Art Colony: running low but feeling high

okay, well, not that kind of high. Just in general, my spirits are a little bit higher in general, I don't feel so lousy.
The low bit is about the old Mother Hubbard-Cupboard thing. It's getting pretty bare. And I shouldn't really ever spend money on food right now since I don't even know how we're going to make the rent unless Biff's check comes, and even then that check was supposed to be his salvation in fixing his computer. :sigh: Life can be really fucking frustrating sometimes.
I rented this brilliant, hilarious book The Male Mystique from the library where I work. Biff was reading it this morning while I made coffee. It contains some of the funniest, best ads from the 1970's and 60's...absolutely diabolically funny copy as well.
"For the Man who Wears it like it Is." (hair pomade)
"For Male Chauvenist Pigs Only." (shoes)
"Blow Smoke In Her Face and She'll Follow your Forever." (little cigars)
Very entertaining time warp. A hilarious coffee-table book too.
