... iPod juice that is. I own a 3rd generation iPod and well no surprise its battery was a piece of crap. I barely got through a day without it dieing on me or saying it was out of power when it just had half a battery life in it. I tried to get my $50 rebate from apple but couldn't find my recite or credit card statement with the charge on it. I still wanted to replace the battery but I didn't want to send my iPod into apple for the repair (I mean who knows what they would have done with it and what condition I would have gotten it back in). I believe the apple website had it priced out around $65.95 with the service and new battery. I wasn't ready to send "my precious" off for some stranger to handle.
I did a search online and found that I can get a replacement battery with instructions on how to change it myself at ipodjuice.com for only $38. I was a little skeptical at first because well I didn't want to fuck up "my precious" and be without an iPod but then I thought if something goes wrong then it was meant to be that I get a new iPod (maybe even a NANO). So I ordered an 11 to 13 hour battery for "my precious" and it arrived on Monday. I was eager to crack open the box and get that new battery in and you know it actually lasted two WHOLE days without being recharged. I probably could have gone 3 but I didn't want to chance it just yet. I am in love with "my precious" all over again. Now only if I can get my iTunes version 5 to connect to the internet I can feed my baby some new albums.
