Long ago, before we even contemplated these necessities, the Japanese preceded us in shit like zen gardens, robes, lanterns, karaoke and Sushi, then in stuff like technology and fun-to-say words, like "kamikaze" or "Tamaguchi". But recently I realized that the utter futility of it all. The Japanese long ago surpassed us in the realms of both post and post-post modernism. They kick our asses hard.
