on one of ella's cds is a kid's recording of "monster mash" (sung by, improbably, linda ronstadt and andrew gold)which has become a huge hit with her. if you told me that in 2008 i'd be listening to "monster mash" all day long, i'd deck you.
yesterday as i went to dry my hair, ella declared that she would dry it for me. in fact, i was now in the "hair shop" with all the other "ladies" and she would be doing my hair. the kid spent 20 minutes on my coiffure, and i have to say, i almost handed her 50 bucks because it looks as good, if not better, than any salon attempt. plus, i had the bonus of my stylist telling me when to say "ouch". you can't beat service like that. it was a moment i hope was captured somewhere in the universe on video and when i review my life upon my deathbed, it is moment i will watch over and over again. see pony's entry on "little jolts of love". sweet.
and so, to better record our life, craig and i got a great gift from my parents: the nikon d40. we call it ella's little sister. it's heavenly to work with and i haven't even learned half the stuff it can do. fun!
